Honors College Advising Syllabus

In Fall 2014, the ePortfolio Learning Coordinator participated in the Master Advising Certificate Program. As part of the training, she specifically considered ways of consistently and directly incorporating ePortfolios into the Advising process, marking the ways in which such efforts must be systematic and continual. The objective of such an approach is to empower the students as they plan their course of study and experiences at ODU. The potential result is a “flipped” advising session, in which students come to Advising sessions prepared with Reflective Cover Letters, which have lead them to consider in advance the work they have done and what experiences they still need to encounter.
